Dear Fundholder:
Spring is in the air and Community Foundation for Muskegon County team members have been out in the community at Faith Partners meetings and at Listening Locations.
We are actively working with faith partners and exploring how we can work together to foster literacy. The ability to read is a vital building block for a persons’ future success. Our March meeting was hosted by Central United Methodist with speakers from COGIC Community Center, Emmanuel Tabernacle Church of God in Christ, Kingdom Embassy Covenant Church, and Muskegon Area Intermediate School District. Read Muskegon and the Great Start Collaborative are key partners and participated in the luncheon.
On Wednesday, April 28 at 10:00 am you will be able to visit with a Community Foundation team member at The Book Nook & Java Shop in the White Lake/Montague area as part of our Listening Locations. Currently, we are at the US Café in Muskegon Heights on the second Wednesday of each month at 9:30 am. We look forward to connecting with more community members and learning about what is working well in their neighborhoods and where there are opportunities for success.
